How we put this together: We read each vendor's official product, pricing and FAQ pages on 7 October 2026. We haven't run paid trials of these tools or distributed releases through them for this article.

A press release is short, formulaic and unforgiving. A good AI generator gets the structure right: headline, dateline, lead paragraph, quotes, boilerplate. A great one also gets your voice right and doesn’t invent anything. That last part matters more than any feature: you are responsible for what goes out under your name, whichever tool drafted it.

The tools below split into two groups: drafting tools that write the release, and distribution services that also send it out.

The tools

1. Parlance: releases in your voice, with house rules

Parlance is designed for leaders and investor-relations and communications teams. It learns from your previous writing, filings and strategy documents, and a single brief can become a press release alongside the matching blog post, LinkedIn post and email.

Its house rules are designed to flag things like stock-promotion phrasing and in-progress deal details before a draft reaches you. That’s useful for public companies, but it doesn’t replace legal review.

Self-service is $499/month, or the managed service is $1,999/month. It’s invite-only for now. It drafts; you distribute through your wire service of choice.

Disclaimer: we own Parlance (which is how we know it’s good).

2. EIN Presswire: free drafting, cheap distribution

EIN’s generator writes a release from a short topic description, in several languages, and is free for up to 25 drafts a day with no card. Distribution is priced per release: $149 for one, $499 for five, or $999 for fifteen, with credits valid for a year. It’s the lowest-friction route from idea to published release.

3. Semrush AI PR Toolkit (formerly Prowly): drafting plus outreach

Prowly is now sold as Semrush’s AI PR Toolkit. It drafts releases and pitch emails from your key messages and keywords, recommends journalists, and helps find the outlets AI tools cite. Plans are $149, $279 and $499 a month, each with one user (extra users $20/month). It’s a PR workflow tool rather than a wire service.

4. PR Newswire Amplify AI: built into a major wire

PR Newswire’s Amplify AI drafts or improves releases, scores them, and repurposes them into blogs and pitches. It learns from your past releases and website, and PR Newswire announced enhanced brand voice features in January 2026. Pricing is sales-led. Its FAQ is clear that you retain responsibility for the accuracy of AI-generated content and quotes.

5. Jasper Press Release Agent: for existing Jasper users

Jasper’s agent turns raw notes into a journalist-formatted release using your Brand Voice, plus your Style Guide and knowledge base on Business. It’s included in Jasper plans, with Pro from $59/month billed annually.

6. Copy.ai’s free press release writer: a quick first draft

Enter the announcement, quotes and data, and you get a draft without signing up. There’s no voice training in the free tool, so expect to edit.

7. WRITER’s press release agent: governed enterprise drafting

WRITER’s agent drafts releases using the company’s voice profiles and style guides. That’s useful when many people write and everything must stay on-brand. WRITER’s pricing isn’t published.

Before you publish any AI-drafted release

  • Check every fact, number and quote against the source, and get quotes approved by the person quoted.
  • Public companies: route material news through investor relations and counsel, and make sure release timing lines up with your filings and disclosure obligations.
  • Avoid promotional language about your share price or outlook. Good tools flag it, but don’t rely on that.
  • Budget for distribution separately unless your tool includes it. For comparison, Newswire.com’s distribution packages started at $399 per release on 7 October 2026.

FAQ

Is there a free AI press release generator?
Yes. On 7 October 2026, EIN Presswire's generator was free for up to 25 drafts a day, and Copy.ai's press release writer was free with no sign-up. Distribution through a wire service costs extra.
Can AI write a press release for a public company?
It can draft one, but the company remains responsible for every word. PR Newswire's own FAQ says users retain responsibility for the accuracy of releases, including AI-generated content and quotes. Public companies should keep investor-relations and legal review in the loop, and time material news to the required filings and disclosure rules.
What's the difference between drafting and distribution?
Drafting tools write the release. Distribution services (wire services) send it to news outlets, search engines and financial data feeds. Some vendors do both, such as EIN Presswire and PR Newswire. Writing tools like Parlance, Jasper and WRITER draft only.
